Islamic Tour

Day 1: Istanbul

 You will be welcomed by your tour guide who is ready to take you to your accommodation. Your tour manager will tell you stories to prepare you for this beautiful city. Crossing the bosphorus bridge, we will enter the european side of the city.

Day 2: Istanbul

 In ancient times, Istanbul was known as 'Byzantium', later the name was changed to Constantinople (the city of Constantin).Canstantinople was the capital of the Byzantian Empire. We will visit the famous Hagia Sophia, which was the biggest bazilika in the world between the 5th-16th centu­ry. The Ottomans converted the building into a mosque and used it for 500 years as a mosque until it became a museum. The huge 'Covered Bazaar' from the 16th century,will be our next stop. We will walk trough the bazaar and enjoy the colourful merchandise and the sweet smwlling spices. The Bosphorus boat trip will amaze you and will give you a view of the Ottoman area, the Golden Horn as well as the Rumeli Hisar and the restored wooden waterside residences mostly from the Ottoman period.

Day 3: Istanbul / Topkapi Palace And The Blue Mosque

 In the 15th century, 'Fatih Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror', ordered his architects to built the Topkapi palace. The harem residence as well as the treasury sections let the 1001 nights fairy-tales relieve. The next visit is to the 'Blue Mosque',built in the 16th century and has been the biggest mosque in the world for centuries. The Blue Mosque is famous for its thousands of blue tiles and six minarets. The 'Yeni' (new) Mosque and the Aegyptian Bazaar are the next places to visit, that you will enjoy.

Day 4: Ankara

 After breakfast we will leave Istanbul and drive to the capital of Turkey An­kara. Ankara is a modern city with plenty governmental buildings, parks and boulevards. In the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is the most important museum of Turkey, we will admire ancient treasures of fascinating civilizations. Our next stop is the Mausoleum of Atatürk, who is the founder of the Turkish Republic and mentioned as the father of the Turks. Dinner and overnight in Ankara.

Day 5: Konya

 After breakfast we will travel with the high-speed train to Konya. In the 12th and 13th century, Konya was the capital of the Anatolian Seljuk Empire. We still see a lot of monuments from that period. It is proved that the history goes back to 4000 B.C. We will visit the Mevlana Monastery. The philosophy of Mevlana is important for the Islam. The Islam museum, has a fabulous collection and is located in the monastery. We will drive back to Ankara, again with the high-speed train. Dinner and overnight in Ankara.

Day 6 Bursa

 After breakfast we will drive to Bursa. Bursa is a spa center and is also known as 'Green Bursa'. Bursa was once the capital of the Ot­toman Empire. We are going to visit the 'Green Mosque' and the graves of the sultans. It's possible to experience a real Turkish steam bath also known as hamam. Dinner and over­night in Bursa.

Day 7 Bursa / Istanbul

 After breakfast you will be transfered to the airport .
