A&O Hostel am Zoo

Location

This hostel is located in the immediate vicinity of the world-famous Zoologischer Garten train station (30 m away), in the centre of former West Berlin. Ku`damm, Berlin`s longest shopping street, as well as the historical Memorial Church (Gedächtniskirche) and the zoo are near to the hostel. Schönefeld, Tegel and Tempelhof airports are 15, 7, and 5 km away respectively and can be easily reached by public transport.

Facilities

The hostel was built in 1962. Guests can feel at home in one of the 113 rooms. A lobby and a reception are available to travellers. Most of the storeys can be reached by lift. Services and facilities at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe, a restaurant, a breakfast room, a bar, a laundry service and a conference room. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. Travellers arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Bicycles can be left in the bicycle storage area. A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Each of the rooms is appointed with central heating and a bathroom. Features include internet access and a TV. The bathroom offers convenient facilities including a shower.
