Aldeia da Pedralva - Slow Village

Location

This property is in the village of Pedralva, on the west coast of the Algarve in southern Portugal. It is part of the district of Vila do Bispo and is on the outskirts of the district, before Carrapateira. Guests will find the nearest restaurants and bars a couple of paces away and links to the public transport network are about 1 km from the property. The village of Pedralva is located in a beautiful valley, 4 km away from the excellent beaches of Amado and Bordeira. The Museum of the Sea at Carrapateira is a 5 km journey away and it is some 10 km to the centre of Vila do Bispo, 15 km from Sagres and 20 km from Topas, with its nightspots, tourist centre and sights, such as Aljezur`s Church of Our Lady, the Fortress of Sagres and Aljezur Castle. Cape St. Vincent is roughly 20 km away and it is around 30 km to Lagos, with its railway and bus stations. It is approximately 120 km west of Faro International Airport.

Facilities

The holiday village was built in 2009. These are distributed across one main building and 24 adjacent buildings. There are a total of 24 villas/houses. A lobby and a reception are available to guests. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is available to travellers in the public areas. Among the culinary options available at the complex are a restaurant, a dining area, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a pub. Various shops are available, including a supermarket. The grounds of the accommodation feature a playground and an attractive garden. Additional facilities at the complex include a TV room. Those arriving in their own vehicles can leave them in the car park of the holiday village. Facilities include room service. In addition, a shuttle service is offered. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms

Each of the rooms is appointed with central heating, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Most rooms also feature a terrace for relaxation. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, a cooker, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. A DVD player is also available. Amenities in the bathrooms include a shower. A hairdryer can also be found in each of the bathrooms. Special family rooms are available for families with children.
