There are numerous historic sites all around the area. The hotel is only 5 minutes` drive to the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular towering mountains. The monument to the Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson`s Kidnapped, is situated on the hillside behind the hotel. The Devil`s Staircase is a 20-minute drive and Glencoe town centre is just 5 minutes by car.
