Sanibel Island lies just far enough off the beaten path to remain pristine but easily accessible. `Ding` Darling National Wildlife Refuge provides an entry point into the habitats of the alligators, manatees, bald eagles, river otters, roseate spoonbills, and some 200 other bird species that pass through this area along a major flyway. Natural white-sand beaches stretch unbroken along the island`s Gulf of Mexico shoreline. The island also acts as a catcher`s mitt for shells washed up from the Caribbean and the Atlantic. For this reason, it is the best shelling destination in the US. Visitors come also for the wildlife attractions, a one-of-a-kind shell museum and year-round water and land sports. The centre of Periwinkle Place is around 20 minutes` walk, or a 3-minute drive, from the hotel and Sanibel Chamber is some 15 minutes` walk away. The nearest beach is 3 minutes away by car or 20 minutes on foot, while Fort Myers beach can be reached in around a 30-minute drive.

Facilities

Travellers are welcomed at the accommodation, which has a total of 12 rooms. The facility consists of 3 villas/houses. Wireless internet access is available to guests in the public areas. There is also a garden. Those arriving in their own vehicles can leave them in the car park of the accommodation. Travellers can also use the bicycle storage facilities. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.
